Embercrown Saga

Embercrown Saga surprised me with how much heart it packs into a phone RPG. You play a wandering exile piecing together a fractured kingdom, and the writing is a cut above what I expected — characters who joke, argue, and occasionally break your heart.

Combat is turn-based with a timing element: land a tap in the right window and your attacks hit harder. It keeps you paying attention instead of auto-battling everything. Party building offers real choices, and swapping members around to counter tough enemies feels rewarding.

The hand-drawn art holds up beautifully even on a smaller screen. It's a longer game, but it saves generously and respects your time between story beats.
